3 Ingredient Healthy Vegan ‘Cheese’

Are you obsessed with cheese but suffer from lactose intolerance like I do? I may have the next best thing to cheese, but 10x healthier. This Vegan ‘Cheese’ is made with only 3 ingredients. It has a texture similar to parmesan cheese and can be sprinkled on popcorn, used in recipes, or topped on your favourite vegan dishes.

Not only does nutritional yeast have a nutty flavour similar to cheese, it has so many nutritional benefits. Improved digestion due to probiotics and improved immune function due to the many minerals and vitamins are just two of the many benefits. Nutritional yeast also provides protein, iron, and an abundance of B vitamins.

Paired with almonds and cashews, this Vegan ‘Cheese’ is a much healthier alternative to dairy and provides extra protein to your meal. This ‘Cheese’ is so versatile, it can be used in so many amazing ways!


3 Ingredient Healthy Vegan 'Cheese'

  • Servings: 2

  • 1/4 cup of mixed cashews and almonds (skins removed)
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt


  1. Add mixed cashews and almonds, nutritional yeast, and salt to a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse until all ingredients are combined and finely ground. Store in the fridge for up to a few weeks.

Note: This recipe is a small batch but can be easily multiplied if you’re serving more people.
